Number Theory Conference in Honor of Harold Stark

Number Theory Conference in Honor of Harold StarkHarold Stark and his students have had a profoundinfluence on number theory, especially on the analytictheory of algebraic numbers. Particularly noteworthy have been the contributions to the theory of specialvalues of L-functions, of Siegel zeros, and onautomorphic methods.This conference will serve as a followup to the successfulmeeting on Stark conjectures held two years ago with NSF'ssupport at Johns Hopkins, but will have a more broaderagenda, covering all of Stark's work and related areas.There has not been any recent meeting devoted to thisarea, and in view of the recent progress that has beenachieved, a conference summarizing current knowledge anddirections of research will help spread the informationand generate new ideas.
