The Division of Design, Manufacturing and Industrial Innovation will provide partial financial support for a US delegation that will attend an International Conference on Frontiers of Design and Manufacturing to be held on June 21-23, 2004 in China. This ICFDM is emerging as a premier international conference discussing frontier issues in the field of design and manufacturing. The co-sponsors of this conference include the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science Foundation (USA), Shien-Ming Wu Foundation (USA), the Shanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), and Xi'an Jiao Tong University.
