Specific instrumentation supported under this award includes computers and related components for the shipboard Scientific Instrumentation System, pingers, water sampling bottles and other sensors to be used with the ship's CTD system, wax corers for sampling ocean basalt, and an upgrade to the vessel's navigation/motion sensing system.
