Funding is provided to coordinate the annual meetings of the investigators involved in the two Ocean Mixing Climate Process Teams (CPT) as well as interested outside scientists. With PIs distributed across the US, yearly workshops have shown to be extremely useful to coordinate research activities and spin off new collaborations. Broader impacts: The annual workshops enhance collaboration across institutions and disciplines and facilitate the quick dissemination of research results. The workshop have also enhanced the CPT involvement with the broader oceanographic community.This project is a contribution to the U.S. CLIVAR (CLImate VARiability and predictability) program.
