Mapping the Future

在向公众传播研究的征集活动中，加州大学伯克利分校提议制作一部一小时的纪录片，讲述在安吉洛海岸山脉保护区进行的研究。安吉洛海岸山脉保护区是美国国家科学基金会两个大型项目的重点。美国国家地表动力学中心（NCED）和美国国家航空激光测绘中心（NCALM）。制作出来的录象将通过UCTV卫星传送，并存入在线录象点播库，同时也将成为与保护区所在的偏远农村地区的学校和社区团体进行当地外联工作的主题。

Under the Communicating Research to Public Audiences solicitation, the University of California,Berkeley proposes to produce a one-hour documentary on research conducted at the Angelo Coast Range Reserve, a research reserve that is the focus of two large scale NSF projects. The National Center for Earth Surface Dynamics (NCED) and the National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping (NCALM). The resulting video will be distributed through the UCTV satellite feed and archived on their on-line video on demand library, and also be the subject of local outreach efforts with schools and community groups in the remote, rural area in which the Reserve is located.
