Travel Support for PC 2010 Conference, Suzhou, China, June 2-5, 2010

本奖项为参加2010年国际聚合物化学研讨会（pc2010）的美国与会者提供部分旅费支持。本次会议将于2010年6月2日至6月5日在中国苏州举行。预计将有300人参加，其中包括40名来自不同背景的美国人。PC 2010的技术范围非常广泛，旨在提供一个论坛，汇集来自世界各地学术机构、政府和行业的领先和年轻科学家，讨论新兴和多学科前沿的聚合物科学。五个涵盖聚合物化学前沿的一般研究领域被选中，以吸引广泛学科的参与：(1)聚合物合成，(2)大分子结构和超分子，(3)光子学，电子学和光电子学的功能聚合物，(4)生物相关和医用聚合物，(5)聚合物的结构和表征。

TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL ABSTRACTThis award provides partial support for travel of U.S. participants to the 2010 International Symposium on Polymer Chemistry (PC 2010). This meeting will be held in Suzhou, China, June 2 - June 5, 2010. An attendance of 300 is expected including 40 U.S. participants from diverse backgrounds. The technical scope of PC 2010 is intentionally broad to provide a forum that brings together leading and young scientists from academic institutions, governments and industries around the world to discuss the emerging and multi-disciplinary frontiers of polymer science. Five general research areas that encompass the frontiers of polymer chemistry were selected to attract participation from a broad range of disciplines: (1) polymer synthesis, (2) macromolecular architecture and supramolecules, (3) functional polymers for photonics, electronics and optoelectronics, (4) bio-related and medical polymers, (5) structure and characterization of polymers.
