The Z01 technical service project is responsible for supplying the sub-projects of the SFB/TR 103 with the required single-crystalline Ni-and Co-alloys. This follows the requirements of the sub-projects. In addition to centralized procurement of standard alloys, the single-crystalline casting of smaller sample bodies is a focal point. All materials procured or manufactured in the Z01 service project run through quality control and are equipped with a "birth certificate" before transferring to the sub-projects. The provision of experimental alloys and their reworking into high quality single crystals is technologically demanding.
