The infrastructure (INF) project provides a platform to allow data management and accessibility of large data sets generated by state-of-the-art multimodal imaging techniques, which leads to the generation of large volumes of raw and processed experimental data. The project began to adapt the open source database suite OMERO to the local environment of the SFB 944, iBiOs and the research building CellNanOs. A network-attached storage (NAS), operated via the OMERO interface, has been installed for data storage together with a tape library system for backup, which is operated together with the Computer Center of the University Osnabrück.
