Polyglot text synopsis of the ancient versions of the Jewish Wisdom Book of Ben Sira including a complete translation into German

The project's issue is to provide the Hebrew, Greek, Syriac and Latin textual tradition of the Book of Ben Sira in synoptic presentation with a German translation, in order to create a basic tool for future Ben Sira research. In addition to the first translation of individual texts (Syriac Peshitta, Vetus Latina), the interdependencies between the different texts will become visible. At the same time, this synopsis will form the gateway to further research in the area of late and post biblical Wisdom literature of the Hellenistic period.
