This research training group is a synthesis of sciences (Physical Geography, Sciences of soils, Botany) and arts (Historic Sciences) cooperating in field-work near the Danube-bow at Regensburg and in laboratories of the local university. Interactions between man and environment focused on the background of local stated periods of prehistory, Roman and medieval age are documented by scientific research.The program of the course enables postgraduates to reconstruct palaeoecological development in chosen areas of research.
