The integrated research training group in the CRC 1176 combines a sophisticated qualification programme and a supervision strategy with additional support measures. This will allow all participants of the integrated research training group (doctoral and postdoctoral researchers) to individually develop their professional skills and achieve a high qualification that includes soft skills for their future career. This high qualification in an interdisciplinary research field and the comprehensive supervision (e.g. mentor and thesis advisory committee) is only achieved in a structured doctoral program.
