We apply for travel funds for an observing run at the Calar Alto Observatory (CAHA) in Spain. We intend to observe the highly active binary ER Vul during its eclipses using the CAFE spectrograph. We plan to optimize the reduction of the spectra in collaboration with the instrument specialists at CAHA, using the REDUCE package.
