本研究は、高齢者の生活の場からのリアルタイムの情報をハブに即時収集し、その分析結果に基づく変革のデザインを描くモデルシステムの開発を目的としている。本年度は、研究目的を遂行するための研究フィールドの選定と環境設定を行うこととし、本研究計画の４つの研究のうち、主に研究１（センサフージョン）ならびに研究３（ナビゲーションシステム）を遂行した。研究１では、センシングすべき情報とセンサの種類・組み合わせを策定した。データは、非侵襲型センサデータとケアスタッフがIT機器で入力するデータの2種類である。収集されうるデータは、高齢者個人のバイタルデータ、個人の活動データ、ケアスタッフが入力する介護データ、室内環境データを、対象高齢者個々に経時的にデータを蓄積する。データの収集・蓄積の環境設定として、リアルタイムの生活情報を収集する設備（バイタルセンサ、室内カメラ、離床センサ、環境センサ等）を高齢者ケア施設ならびに入居高齢者と家族の同意の上で、居室内に設置した。今回の研究目的で設置した機器類については、定期的に作動状況を確認すると共に、研究フィールドでの課題を明確にし、早期解決を図った。使用するセンサ類は、文献検討ならびに研究者間で情報交換を行い、目的別にセンサ類を整理して、本研究の目的に合致するデータを収集できるセンサを決定した。また、センサシステムの倫理的フレームワークの策定に向け、高齢者ケア施設に介護ロボットやAIを導入することに関する倫理的・法的・社会的課題を中心に文献検討を行った。研究３では、研究フィールドとなった施設のケア責任者ならびにケアスタッフに対して、居室内にセンサやIOT機器を導入するにあたってのニーズを調査した。
