项目摘要

2022年度は、その前身番組や放送児童劇団の歴史をも含む『中学生日記』のメディア史をテーマに博士学位申請論文を執筆し、全体の問題提起と理論的枠組みの見直しや、すでに入手した資料の再整理を進めてきた。同論文では、日本のテレビにおいて「普通」の中学生の「日常」を中継する社会教育番組NHK『中学生日記』に与えられた教育的意義、およびこうした試みの役割についてD・マキャーネルの「演出された真正性」（staged authenticity）の視点からの検討を試みた。具体的に、先行研究においてNHK『中学生日記』の内容は「リアルな中学生の姿のありのままの反映」として簡単に片付けられてきたが、私の研究は、何が「リアル」なのか、その「リアル」にどのような価値観が反映されていたのかを問う視点に立ち、同番組が映し出した中学生像や、制作者の意図、それに対する同時代の社会的評価を、1962～1983年度、1984～2002年度、2003～2011年度の3つの時期に分けて考察することで、同時代の人々が「中学生の日常」に追い求めようとした／生徒たちが演じた真正性の内実を、自主性のある個人の姿として明らかにした。今年の研究計画は、おおむね順調に進展している。NHK名古屋放送児童劇団における社会教育に関する研究は、2022年6月に行われた日本コミュニケーション学会第51回年次大会および、IAMCR Conference 2022のHistory Sectionで発表した。博士学位申請論文を提出してから、同研究を整理して2023年の春までに学会誌に投稿したいと考えている。また、「演出された真正性」の視点から「リアル」を構築する『中学生日記』の形式を検討した論文「テレビの／に映った「裏領域」をめぐって：NHK『中学生日記』のメディア論」が『日本コミュニケーション研究』第52巻第1号に掲載されることが決まった。
