项目摘要

新型コロナウイルス感染拡大による活動制限等により、当初計画の３D計測調査から発掘調査報告書の渉猟等に切り替えた初年度の成果を各地の口頭発表や論文等にて紹介した。民族藝術学会口頭発表「縄文・弥生・古墳時代における土器の『文様破調』について」では、従来、作り手のミスや誤魔化しとして解釈され議論の対象とされてこなかった縄文・弥生・古墳時代の土器や金属器における文様破調の新事例を紹介し、その意義を多様な分野の研究者が集まる学会で問う試みを行った。また、福井洞窟ミュージアムどうくつ体験リレー講座「縄文と芸術」では九州の縄文土器における文様破調の事例を、小田原田原市遺跡講演会「弥生・縄文時代の人々の心に近づく方法」では弥生時代中期の事例を紹介し、従来の観点による解釈に対する問題提起をした。また、朝日カルチャーセンター名古屋教室での講座「岡本太郎と縄文人の『芸術』」では芸術家・岡本太郎の縄文時代に対する基本的な考え方を紹介し、『現代思想』への寄稿「遠野と「縄文」／『遠野物語』」や『モノ・構造・社会の考古学：今福利恵博士追悼論文集』への寄稿「相互浸潤する土器≒土偶のハイブリッド」、ハワイ大学における国際会議での共同発表「Mutual permeation model of things, people, and the supernatural: Insights from Jomon pottery and dogu figurines」では、文様破調の実態解明から派生する議論として、縄文時代に対する岡本太郎の観点を批判的に継承した研究代表者の「物・人・超自然の相互浸潤モデル」から、従来は考えられてこなかった近代の東北における狩猟と縄文時代の関係性や、縄文土器と土偶の相互浸潤の問題について新たな仮説を提唱した。
