本年度は主として、①2016年から2021年までの新聞歌壇の動向を調査、整理、②前年度に収集した震災詠について、批評動向とを併せた検証を開始する、③鈴木洋子『矩形の洞』（笹気出版印刷、2020.4）に関する調査研究を行った。①については、『朝日新聞』『読売新聞』『福島民報』『河北新報』を対象に、2016年から5年間の新聞歌壇を調査し、震災詠掲載傾向の流れの概略を掴むことができた。また、データ解析の下準備として、これらの調査と同時に、新聞歌壇の掲載短歌を同フォーマットのExcelデータに加工する作業を行った。2016年以降の新聞歌壇では東日本大震災に関する震災詠は大きく減少しているが、震災後10年にあたる2021年には一定数の出詠が見られた。②については、2021年度に行った2011年から2015年までの新聞歌壇掲載歌について、KH Coderを使用し、データ解析の方向性を探った。ただし、新聞ごとに掲載歌数、選歌の方針に違いが見られるため、現在、有効な比較方法を検討中である。③東日本大震災で被災した宮城県石巻市在住の鈴木洋子による歌集『矩形の洞』を読み込み、鈴木氏とともに歌の舞台を訪問し、作歌についてのお話を伺った。鈴木氏は、震災時に石巻市門脇小学校校長を勤め、3月11日は地震後に児童たちを率いて高台に避難した経験を短歌のかたちで発表された。実際に門脇小学校を訪れ、お話を伺ったことで、歌の解釈が深まった。
