昨年度に比して徐々に林喜右衛門家所蔵資料調査の回数を増やすことができ、全点の把握のために資料撮影作業を進めた。冊子体の資料については全体の三分の一ほどの撮影を終了した。全点の書誌を取る作業に着手し、これについては半数近くが終了した。幕末以降、近代の番組類は林喜右衛門家が近代に果たした役割を辿る上で看過できぬ資料であるが、全く未整理の状態からの作業となるため、次年度以降の作業とし、今年度は見送った。林喜右衛門家は三代玄融以後、漢学者、儒学者などが画賛を付した歴代当主の肖像画軸を残す慣習があり、寛保二年（一七四二）没の玄融の画賛は上柳四明、明和六年（一七六九）没の四代玄庭、天明五年（一七八五）没の五代玄好の画賛は担齋春政美（春日亀担齋）の作文である。玄融の画賛を記した上柳四明は、木下順庵門下の木門十哲に数えられる向井滄洲を同じく師として玄融が儒学を学んだ縁に拠る。玄融の画賛の依頼者は玄庭であり、玄庭と玄好の画賛の依頼者は六代玄先であり、以後も当主もしくは作成した代の当主と交友のある文人が各代の当主の肖像画賛を起筆している。歴代肖像画賛は火災によって古い時代の資料を失っている林喜右衛門家の事蹟を知る資料であるのみならず、歴代の交友を知ることのできる重要な資料である。本年度はこれらの翻刻を進めた。林喜右衛門家は、岩戸山町に長らく居を構えている時代に呉春や田福など近辺に住む文人画家、俳人などと交友があったことがわかっているが、所蔵資料の中には謡に茶道や香道を交えた「遊び」を考案していたことも伺える資料が見出され、その翻刻を進めた。
