项目摘要

本研究の主たる課題は、１）パスカルの人間学を、『パンセ』の草稿資料も用いて、彼自身のテクストに即して総合的に考究すること、２）パスカルの人間学の「起源」の局面を、とりわけモンテーニュからの影響を通じて検討すること、である。2022年度は、１）に関連して、『パンセ』の独自訳を継続して進め、全体の約７割程度まで終えた。２）に関連して、モンテーニュとパスカルの①政治思想ならびに②死生観についての比較研究の成果をそれぞれフランスのシンポジウムにて発表した。年度中２回にわたる渡仏の旅費ならびに滞在費の一部を本科研費から拠出した。ほかに、『啓蒙主義の百科事典』（日本18世紀学会『啓蒙思想の事典』編集委員会編、丸善出版）の項目「モンテーニュ」を執筆した。また、「モンテーニュが語る老、病、性：『エセー』における身体の経験」と題する講演を行い（2022年度ラスタ教養大学言葉文化コース）、成城大学国際編集文献学研究センター主催出版記念イベント『フェイク・スペクトラム：文学における「嘘」の諸相』合評会でコメンテーターを務めた。
