昨年度は、トリノの聖骸布とヴェロニカの聖顔布の起源と生成過程をめぐり、福音書から受難劇までを対象としたが、2022年度は、15世紀から19世紀までの聖顔の兄弟会／信心会に関する調査を中心に行った。①1413年にブルターニュ公ジャンによって創設され、18世紀まで存続した、フランス北西部ナントの「聖ヴェロニカ兄弟会」をめぐり、文献読解を行った。ドミニコ会修道士アントナン・トマ『聖ヴェロニカへの信心』（1694年初版）、ジケロ神父「ナントのヴェロニカ兄弟会略史」（1889年）、18世紀の郷土史家ニコラ・トラヴェール『ナント史』3巻等をもとに、ナントの兄弟会の歴史、受難のキリストの顔を見つめる霊性、信心の実践法の概要をまとめた。②19世紀にロワール地方のトゥールで設立された聖顔の信心会、大信心会について、歴史と信心の内容を、ピエール・ジャンヴィエ神父『聖顔の大信心会の手引き』、『トゥールのマリー伝』等の文献をもとに調査した。2023年3月にトゥールの「聖顔の礼拝堂」、トゥール大司教区図書館（旧女子カルメル会修道院）等で現地調査を実施した。③2023年3月にリジューのカルメル会修道院礼拝堂、聖テレーズ資料館、聖テレーズ・バジリカ大聖堂、サン・ピエール大聖堂等で現地調査を行い、リジューにおける聖顔の信心の歴史と現状を確認した。④ポール・クローデルの宗教詩「十字架の道行き」と、トリノの聖骸布をめぐるエッセー「主よ、あなたの顔は」、「キリストの顔」等のテクスト収集と読解を行い、次年度の準備を進めた。①、②の研究内容を、論文「ナントの聖ヴェロニカ兄弟会とトゥールの聖顔の大信心会―受難のキリストを見つめる霊性の地域的展開」（東京都立大学『人文学報』第519号、2023年3月、p. 19-53）にまとめ、機関リポジトリにて公開した。③、④は2023年度の論文に取り込みたい。
