令和4年度の主な研究活動内容は以下の通りである。（１）昨年度より引き続き、自治医科大学看護過程演習のロールプレイング会話（倫理審査承認番号：自治医科大学臨大21-017、関西外国語大学2021-1）における看護学生と模擬患者の会話を言語資源とし、語用論的見地から共感的コミュニケーションの分析を行った。疑問文発話における「問いかけ」の機能的分類、および言語情報・非言語情報から観察され得る情動と問いかけの機能との関連付けを分析の主軸としているが、今年度はechoingやrepeating 等の言語現象に注目し、共感のプロセスにおけるそれらの機能についての分析結果を5月と10月の国際学会で口頭発表を行った 。（２）2021年度に提供を受けたハワイ大医学部の1年生の授業におけるシミュレーション会話30セットの電子データ化を終え、上記（１）の日本語会話データと並行的に、共感的コミュニケーション視点からの分析を行った。分析対象となる質問－応答のインタラクション、および情動の発露となり得る言語・非言語表現をタイプ別にラベリングした上で、疑問文発話が本来有する「問いかけ」の機能を有するか否か、および様々な情動とそうした機能的分類との関連付けなどに関して、考察を行った。今年度は、観察し得る情動の中でも顕著にみられる「笑い」を分析の中心に据え、共感の構築における「笑い」の役割を明確にすることを目的とし、参与者たちの言語・非言語行為が「笑い」といかに関連づけられるかを主軸とした分析を進めた。これらの研究成果の公表は次年度に予定している。
