项目摘要

1940年代から現在までの間に提案された種々のユカギール語系統論の代表的な文献であるCollinder(1940)“Jukagirisch und Uralisch”および Tailleur(1959)“Plaidoyer pour le youkaghir, branche orientale de la famille ouralienne”などに見られる主要な論点の検討を進めた。これらの文献の検討と並行して他の資料の検討も進めた。具体的には Nikolaeva(2006)A Historical Dictionary of Yukaghirの検討を進めるとともに、報告者自身が収集してきたツンドラおよびコリマ・ユカギール語資料も参照しつつ、主要な論点の整理を進める作業を継続した。また、過去のユカギール語の資料を検討した論文を出版した。上記と並行して、将来の考察のために必要となる資料の収集にも努めた。フィンランドの研究者が「ウラル語＝ユカギール語同系説」に関して近年出版した論文が存在することを知ったので、論文を入手し、論文中に見られる新たな観点について考察を進めた。また、ユカギール語に関するもう一つの系統論の流れと言える、エスキモー＝アレウト語との同系論に関して、最も包括的かつ先進的であるFortescue(1998) Language Relations across Bering Straitに含まれる論点の把握と整理を進めた。また、近年の比較言語学の研究の発展を着実に把握するため、最近出版されたハンドブック等を参照し、その問題設定と研究手法の把握、自らの知識のアップデートに努めた。昨年度に続いて、本年度は資料の収集と論点の把握に集中したため、付随的に資料を検討した論文を出版した段階に留まっているが、次年度以降の研究に向けた準備作業をほぼ完了した。
