本研究は、英語の生成と知覚に関し、発音とリスニング力の習得到達度はどのような関係なのかを分析することを目的とした。2022年度の研究においては、発音訓練の後、発音訓練がリスニング力にどのような影響を与えるのかを検討した。2021年の発音訓練を先に実施し、後にリスニング訓練を行う被験者グループに加え、2022年度は、訓練の順序を逆にし、先にリスニング訓練を行う被験者も用意した。被験者グループのリスニング力とリーディング力をTOEFL IPTにより測定した。スピーキング力は、TOEIC Speaking Testで測定した。読解速度と語彙数も標準テスト(Rate Level Test and Accuracy Level Test)により、測定した。発音訓練の前と後で、生成実験を実施し、録画を実施した。また、リスニングを困難にしているストレスを担わない弱形のリスニングテストを訓練の前後で実施した。弱形の中で、代名詞と冠詞の弱形の知覚を解析した。被験者の公式TOEFL ITPテストの平均点は、発音訓練前452点であった。発音訓練後の平均点は、477点とグループの平均点は上昇し、また各被験者のスコアも1人を除き上昇した。TOEIC Speakingの結果は、10名中2名においてスコアの上昇が示された。読解速度は、著しい習熟度の上昇が観察された。発音訓練前の読解速度の平均は、1分間に127単語読める速度であったが、訓練後は187単語に上昇、訓練の有意性が証明された。語彙数は、訓練前の平均11,150単語から訓練後の13,625単語に上昇し、訓練効果が示された。被験者の2種の弱形リスニングテストの結果においては、弱形の知覚が困難であることが示されたが、知覚成績の変動係数(σ/μ)は、冠詞(0.38)が代名詞(0.14)を上回った(p=0.003)。
