项目摘要

令和４年度は２本の論文，１回の国際招待講演，１回の国際会議発表を行った。論文は①令和３年度の研究課題であり，令和３年１２月に投稿し，令和４年４月末に刊行されたものと，②令和４年度の研究課題である現行型５文型を含む，伝統文法における述部の分析に関する様々なアプローチに関する研究であった。①は，明治期より１９１７年に日本で初めて５文型が提唱されるまでの統語分析の発展における日本の統語分析の水端となるSwinton大小文典の統語分析を文型論の視点から研究したものである。これまでも大小文典に関する研究は多く行われてきたが，Complementの扱いなど視野の狭い研究であった。本研究では，小文典の統語分析が，そののち１８８０年代末までの国産英文法書の統語分析に影響を与えたことと，大文典の統語分析がMorell（１８５２）の目的語もComplementとみなす分析を踏襲したものであり，日本ではNesfield（１８９８）が読まれ始める前は大文典の分析法が踏襲されたことを明らかにした。②は，令和４年度の研究計画の一部を９月のハンガリー言語学研究センターからの招待講演で発表し，其内容をまとめたもの。５文型前後に発表された，現行型と編成が異なる５文型や，４文型，及びQuirk et al (1985)で提示された，いわゆる７文型（正確にはSeven Clause Types）などの，利点と欠点を対象比較した。この後，文型論の本質に迫るための萌芽的研究であるといえる。これら文字化されたものに加え，令和４年度の１９１７年以降戦前までの統語分析や文型論の研究成果を令和５年２月にCamTESOL2023で発表した。現在はこの発表内容を論文化している。
