語彙習得の発達プロセスは、まだ明確にはモデル化されていない。語彙知識を多面的に調査した先行研究はあるも のの、各構成要素の相互関係や習得順序についてはあまり一貫性が見られない。日本人英語学習者の語彙知識を多面的に測定するテストを開発し、語彙知識の発 達プロセス解明を図ることが本研究の目的である。前年度に行った予備調査により、「日本人英語学習者が必ずしも英語圏における最頻の意味を最初に獲得しているわけではない」ということがわかった。また、語が持つ複数の意味がそれぞれどのように受容認識レベル（獲得の最初のステップとして想定）から発表再生レベルまで発達していくのか調べるため、各意味の獲得段階の比較ができるように、それぞれの語の最初に獲得される意味を明らかにしておく必要が出てきた。そこで、令和4年度は、日本人英語学習者は英語基本語彙の多義語の意味をどのような順序で獲得しているのかを調べるために、テスト項目を再度編集した。項目の再検討の際は、以下の点に留意した。1. 目標語の持つ意味のうち、複数の意味が正解になりうる文脈は避ける。2. 目標語のみだと日本語にしにくいものは避ける。3. 文脈の語は全て新JACET8000の2000位以内の語（固有名詞を除く）。4. 文脈の語数は12語を限度とし、同じ単語の項目では語数を可能な限り揃える。5. 目標語の意味の推測が文脈によって容易になりすぎないプロジェクトメンバーで各項目を検討を複数回行い、最終的には新しい語・文脈を含め、117項目作成した。新しいテスト項目は令和5年度の前期中に実施する予定である。

Each item is discussed in multiple loops. Finally, the new language is included in context. 117 items are created. New projects are scheduled to be implemented in the first half of the year
