项目摘要

本年度は、昨年度の研究であるaural vocabulary, orthographic vocabulary, listening comprehension skillsの関係の詳細分析を行い、国際誌に掲載した。本研究では、155名の実験協力者である大学生のデータを分析した。LVLT（リスニング語彙）, NVLT（語彙）, TOEIC Part I&II形式（リスニング）の問題を解き、それぞれの関係を、相関分析・重回帰分析にて分析した。その結果、LVLTとNVLTにはスピアマン相関係数.70が確認された。LVLTとリスニングには.34, NVLTとリスニングには.47と、筆記語彙であるNVLTとリスニングの相関の方が高かった。また、NVLTのAcademic Word List, 4000語レベル、2000語レベルの語彙は、リスニングの27%の説明率、LVLTにおいては、Academic Word Listの語彙で8%の説明率となった。他の先行研究をもとに、当初、リスニング語彙であるLVLTの方がリスニングテストとの相関、説明率ともに高いと予想したが、本研究では、筆記語彙であるNVLTの方が高かった。そのため、今後、この結果がこの実験のみに当てはまるのか、それとも他の学習者にも当てはまるかのつい調査を行うかを検討中である。その一方で、Selective attentionを利用したリスニング語彙習得法として、Selective-shadowingの応用を開発中である。具体的には、2000語レベルのリスニング語彙について、どの程度aural vocabularyが習得できているかを、初めに調査した。その後、Selective-shadowingを練習法として使い、リスニング語彙力が向上するかを検証した。結果については、次年度以降に論文出版を目指す。
