2022年度は「トルコにおける伝統的美意識の変遷と「辺境化」の過程についての文学（史）的基礎研究」において、近世末期から近代化初期の文の文化の変容について研究を遂行する予定を立てた。近世末期のオスマン帝国の歴史を紐解きつつ、とくに実学を重んじた17世紀の知識人、およびイスタンブール文化圏特有の言語表現によって名を成したナービー、ネフィー、ネディームなどの詩人を中心に、その文化的状況について概説した論文「衰退期か成熟期かー十七世紀～十八世紀オスマン帝国をめぐる二つの視点」『近世の帝国の繁栄とヨーロッパ』集英社, 2022, pp. 121-186、ならびに帝国滅亡期の疫禍を扱う小説オルハン・パムク『ペストの夜』宮下遼訳、早川書房, 上下巻, 2022の翻訳を刊行し、本書における言語革命について詳説した解説を添え訳出、刊行した。またトルコ・シリア大地震を受け、現代トルコ語文学における震災の扱いについて分析した口頭発表「現代トルコ文学と違法建築：不在する天災」トルコ文学研究会, 於東京ジャーミイ（エルトゥールル・ホール）, 2023年3月18日を行い、おおむね予定通りの研究成果を上げられた。
