项目摘要

当該年度は、五代目西川古柳（国重要無形民俗文化財西川古柳座家元）から採取したモーションキャプチャデータの解析を行った。特に首（かしら）を中心とした所作における角速度の測定を行い、感情表現に重要な「円の動き(Arc Motion) 」「序破急(Tempo Changes) 」の実態を明らかにした。西川古柳の所作は、義太夫および三味線のリズムと同期しており、特に低速のときに顕著にあらわれていた。高速の動きは、感情の高ぶりなどの不安定さを表すことが多いため、あえて同期させないことで不安定な感覚を表している場面もある。演目において義太夫と人形遣いがタイミングの「合わせ」を行うポイント箇所がある。特に義太夫の語りにおける句末の声（特に上げ音調）に人形遣いが「合わせ」を行っていた。義太夫の語りの特徴も分析している。文楽協会所属で西川古柳座と共演することの多い竹本越孝に単独で実演してもらい、比和谷恭子（元アナウンサー）の発音と比較することで、その特徴を分析した。その結果、感情表現では、歌謡の技術を多用していた。また感情を強調するときには、1音節の長さが、通常の会話の2～3倍（つまり2～3拍）になり、アクセント型を崩して発音する傾向もあった。語尾に生字（語末音を繰り返す発音）を頻繁に使用する傾向も観察できた。オペラ同様に、感情表現には歌謡の技術（テクニック）が効果的であることが明らかとなった。これらの基礎的なデータをデジタルアーカイブとして公開することが可能である。また、これらの結果を表現できる人型ロボットを作成しており、現時点では首と胴体までが完成している。
