项目摘要

2022年度は、周コウ生の革命外交に関する言論の分析を実施した。周の革命外交に関する言論は、周も運営に参画していた雑誌『現代評論』などに掲載されたのち、その主だったものは『解放運動中之対外問題』（1927年）と『革命的外交』（1928年）の二つの単著にまとめられているため、まずはこの二冊の著作の内容把握に努めた。周コウ生はその言論活動を本格的に開始した1910年代末、さらには満洲事変以降にあっても、国際主義と呼ばれる立場を支持していたことが知られる。国際主義とは、国際連盟を中心に国際政治における安全保障確保と国際協調の実現を目指していく考え方である。この考え方の下、民族主義は軽視はされないものの、国際主義と衝突する場合は、何らかの調整を迫られることがあった。つまり、民族主義の貫徹は、国際主義の下では制限される可能性があった。しかし、『解放運動中之対外問題』と『革命的外交』に示される周の立場は、上記のような国際主義とはしばしば相いれない。『解放運動中之対外問題』と『革命的外交』において、周は中国国民党による列強諸国からの中国権益回収を積極的に支持し、また国際主義よりも民族主義を明らかに優先しているように見受けられる。なぜ、このような議論が展開されるのか、そして満洲事変以降、周が再び国際主義に回帰していく要因は何なのか、さらに検討を進めており、その成果を論文として発表できるよう準備している。
