项目摘要

本年度は、以下の二点について研究を実施した。第一に、前年度までと同様、中華民国時期の政論家のなかから、『甲寅雑誌』の主催者であった章士釗と、その強い影響を受けて政論活動に従事した張東ソンに検討を加えた。従来の研究は、中国近現代の政論家として、この二人より年長の梁啓超や、この二人より年少の胡適に焦点を当てることが多かった。確かにこの二人は多くの政論を発表し、多大な影響力を行使した。だが、梁啓超は政論家と政治家の区別に無頓着で、しばしば政治家として政治活動に携わったし、胡適はこの区別に敏感だったが、政治学に深い造詣はなく、その政論の内容は明快だが単純にすぎる場合もあった。本年度の検討により、章士釗と張東ソンは梁啓超と異なり、政論家と政治家の役割を厳密に区分した上で政論を執筆していたこと、また政治学の文献に親しんでいた章と張の政論は、胡適と異なり綿密な構成を有していたことを明らかにした。なおこうした知見を、これまでの考察の成果と合わせ、『政論家の矜持――中華民国における章士釗と張東ソンの政治思想』（勁草書房、2015年1月）として刊行した。第二に、昨年度より着手していた、五四時期の煩悶青年に関する考察も実施した。具体的事例として、当時、多くの学生が文章を発表し、さらに多くの学生を読者として擁した『学生雑誌』を取り上げた。『学生雑誌』には読者からの悩みが多数寄せられており、民国時期の学生の精神を理解する上で検討が不可欠である。この点を、同誌の発展に大きく貢献した編集者、楊賢江の目から読み解き、その成果の一端を「「良師益友」楊賢江と煩悶青年――『学生雑誌』から見る1920年代中国精神史の一側面」（京都大学人文科学研究所共同研究班現代中国文化の深層構造、京都大学人文科学研究所、2014年5月30日）と題して報告した。その際に得たコメントを踏まえ、学術雑誌へ投稿する予定である。
