项目摘要

新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大は、企業に様々な対応を強いた。その中でも、在宅勤務をはじめとするテレワークによる対面接触の削減は、企業の取引関係、企業の内部組織、個々人の働き方、企業立地など幅広い影響を及ぼすと考えられる。緊急事態宣言発出中においても企業によりテレワークの導入状況に大きな差が見られたことから、その要因を探ることは重要である。本研究では、企業のグローバリゼーションに着目し、その影響を分析する。特に、感染症拡大以前に既にグローバル活動を展開していた企業においては、異なる文化・法制度の下での遠距離における調整に関する経験が蓄積していると見られるので、テレワークの導入にも積極的だったのではないかと予想される。この可能性を検証するため、日本企業に対する調査を本研究の初年度(2021年度)に実施し、その結果を集計するとともに、記述統計的分析を加えた。その結果、コロナ以前にグローバリゼーションが進んでいた企業の方がコロナ禍においてテレワークの導入を進めた傾向が見受けられた。この成果は、査読学術誌に掲載された。更に、より精緻な計量分析のために、種々の企業特性に関する企業ミクロデータと接合し分析を進めている。回帰分析の枠組みで、コロナ禍以前における様々な企業特性をコントロールした上でも、コロナ禍以前において当該企業が輸出、輸入、海外直接投資を行っていたかがコロナ禍におけるテレワークの導入と有意な関係を持つことを確認した。併せて、取引相手企業数との関係についても考察している。今後は、研究成果を学術論文としてとりまとめていく。また、グローバリゼーションや企業関係など本研究課題に関連する他のトピックスについても研究を進めた。
