项目摘要

令和４年度は、昨年度着手した「外国人」というアイデンティティが、ダイバシティ経営においていかなる影響を与えるかを多層的に理解するために、外国人労働者の受け入れに関する制度設計や歴史的、文化的背景について、日本の状況を整理することを継続した。日本の状況については、令和４年度、外国人技能実習制度の見直しが議論されるという、日本の外国人労働者受け入れに関する大きな変化が起きた。こうした制度上の変化が、日本で働く外国人のアイデンティティ形成に影響を与えるまでには時間がかかるのではないかと予想する。しかしながら、当該研究の実施期間中に、こうした制度上の変化が同時並行的に起こったことは幸運であった。日本の移民政策の変遷とその基盤をなす日本社会の情勢変化を、研究の分析に取り込むよう、分析を進めることとした。外国人労働者の複数アイデンティティ形成と交渉をより深く理解するための概念装置としての”intersectionality”については、その補助概念としての”contact zone”との類似性と相違点という観点から、当該研究における位置づけの明確化を目指した。当該研究では、複数アイデンティティの交差（intersection）が起こる『場』としての職場を、”contact zone”、すなわち異なる文化が出会い、衝突し、格闘する場所と位置づけることとしている。これにより、複数アイデンティティのintersectionalityに関する「相互交渉的」な次元を際立たせることができるのではないか、と考えたわけだが、これらの概念の類似性と相違点を整理することは、仮説構築において”experience-distant”な概念の精緻化を図ることができるとの着想を得た。
