産学官連携は大学等の活性化と我が国の発展に大いに寄与するものであり、その一層の充実・強化が求められている。しかしながら、我が国では、大学等を核とする産学連携施策の進展にも関わらず、国際的に見ても大学等の研究成果の社会的活用やそれを支援する組織の点で充実しているとは言い難い。日本の産学連携組織（大学等の産学連携部門・TLOなどの技術移転機関）においては、成果・収入を経年的に向上させている優良組織とそうでない衰退組織の二極化の傾向があり、一因として各組織が属人的な業務を行っていることが考えられる。本研究では、大学・研究機関における産学連携組織の成功要因を精査するために衰退する要因に着目し「衰退しない要因」を導出する。インタビュー調査により、これまで積極的に取り上げてこられなかった衰退に関するデリケートな情報を体系的に収集し、組織に関する一次データを用いた質的比較分析を実施することで、大学・研究機関・TLO等の産学連携組織のガバナンスの在り方など、我が国の抱える大学・研究機関における産学連携組織の問題点を明らかにする。それにより、大学発イノベーション創出のための産学連携部門・TLOの組織メカニズムの解明に取組む。令和4年度は、創業チームの特性とその他の経営資源の相互作用が、短期の新規株式公開（IPO）にどのような影響を与えるかを検証するために、質的比較分析を行った。本研究は、日本の大学発ベンチャーにおいて、創業からIPOまでのスピードと創業チームやその他の経営資源の組み合わせの関係を調査したものであり、早期IPOを実現するための創業チームの構成や支援のあり方について、VCや支援機関への実践的な示唆を示した。これらの結果をまとめ、研究 技術 計画に投稿し、掲載された。
