２０２２年度も前年度と同じ課題に引き続き取り組んだ。メディア視聴行動における個人の心理、メディアの社会的機能・役割に関する多様な理論を統合しながら、動的構造推定モデルにより、個人や社会におけるメディアの選択・利用を考察する。このとき、内生性と動的変化（時間経過に伴う主体間・要因間の相互作用）に注意する。また、メディア行動として、連続TVドラマの選択と視聴を考える。本研究の僅かな貢献として、多様な分野において蓄積されたメディア研究の成果を統合し、マーケティング研究で注目されつつある動的構造推定モデルを用いて、内生性を考慮しながら、時間的に変化する個人のメディア心理や行動・メディアの社会的機能を定量的に考察することなどが挙げられる。具体的な分析としては、連続TVドラマの選択・視聴に注目し、1）個人の行動が変化したとき、その内的要因は何か、逆に、心理変容により視聴行動はどう変化するか（たとえば、どのような欲求や効用に基づいてドラマを視聴するか）、また、2）個人の視聴行動が社会全体の集団行動にどう影響するか、逆に、集団行動が個人の視聴行動をどう決定するか（たとえば、ドラマが話題となるとき、個人はそれを視聴し始める）などを、個人間・要素間の内生性に注意しながら考察する。さらに、3）ルーカス批判に対応した反事実仮想により、社会的・実務的示唆を導出する。すなわち、ある要因が変化したとき、他の要因にどう影響するかを予測する（たとえば、放送時間を変更すると、視聴者の番組への欲求が変化し、メディアの社会的機能を通じて、集団の視聴行動が変化する、タイムシフト視聴がドラマ・テレビCM視聴行動にどう影響を与えるか、など）。
