项目摘要

本研究は「親沢人形三番叟」という伝統芸能を、親沢集落に継承される「集合的記憶」として捉え、その不変性を舞台映像分析から明らかにすることを目的にしている。また、このような伝統の伝承・継承を果たす集合的記憶の働きを明らかにすることで、その集合的記憶の理論枠組みを修正することになると予想している。「親沢人形三番叟」は、7年毎に人形・囃子の担い手(全12名)が交代して、それまでの担い手は指導役に回る。弟子→親方→おじっつぁを7年ずつ合計21年担当するという芸能である。この芸能は、200年あまり続いてきた親沢諏方神社の春祭り(4月第2日曜日)で奉納され、それに先立ち3月下旬から「舞台開き」、練習、「検閲」、「舞揃え」という行程で進む季節限定の取り組みとなる。したがって、本研究の方法は、季節限定的に「親沢人形三番叟」の舞台を撮影することと、その舞台の場面を時間運びや空間配置とともに分析することにある。令和4年度は資料収集と、アルヴァックス集合的記憶研究に終始した。資料収集の側面としては、親沢諏方神社の春祭りは奉納されず、「親沢人形三番叟」の舞台は3年連続で行われなかった。その後の展開が予想できなくなったこともあり、一部の担い手が重複する小海町「松原諏訪神社」の「御柱祭」（7年に１度の実施）を、令和4年5月に調査した。また同時に、小海町の北牧楽集館（図書館）において、稀少資料を入手することに努めた。ただし、令和5年3月下旬に、令和5年春祭りの実施が決定されたため、その映像撮影を念頭においた準備に入った。さらに、集合的記憶の理論枠組み研究のために、アルヴァックス『聖地における福音者の伝説地誌』結論の翻訳を、研究協力者と共に進めて、一部分を発行することができた。
