2022年度は、京丹後市を中心とした京都府北部地域において、UIターンの移住者を中心に作り出されている「新しい公共性」に関わるフィールドワークおよびインタビュー調査に力点を置いた。そして、その過程で、2023年7月に京丹後市と共同で、18～39歳の住民の暮らしの実態と意識に関する質問紙調査を実施することが決定したため、その準備を進めた。業績としては、研究参加メンバーが地方移住者とその仕事や生活のスタイル、あるいは新しい公共性に関する数点の論文や著書を執筆したが、本科研のデータを用いた研究については、来年度以降の発表に向けて準備している段階である。轡田竜蔵「地方出身女性の選択肢」大貫恵佳他編『ガールズ・アーバン・スタディーズ』（法律文化社、2023年）は、女性が地方で働き、暮らす環境について、地方移住のトレンドを視野にいれつつ考察したものである。轡田竜蔵「ファスト風土暮らしの若者」（三浦展『再考　ファスト風土化する日本』光文社、2023年所収）は、地方暮らしの若者のライフスタイルについて考察した論考である。阿部真大『会社のなかの「仕事」社会のなかの「仕事」』（光文社、2023年）は、京丹後市での調査事例もひきつつ、地方の条件不利地域の新しい働き方に関わる問題に注目した。松村淳『愛されるコモンズ』（晃洋書房、2023年）は、「街場の建築家」がつくる「コモンズ」に関する議論を展開しているが、これは2022年度に行った京丹後市の建築家に対する調査にも対応したものである。このほか、永田夏来は、2023年3月27日日本経済新聞オピニオン欄「コロナ3年、出口へ」や2022年10月4日第61回ESRI政策フォーラムで本研究に関わる報告をした。また、本研究に関わる取材結果の一部について、研究代表の轡田竜蔵が『社会調査実習報告書　京都の若者の実態と意識（５）―京都ローカル志向を考える』（2023年3月、同志社大学社会学部社会学科、全213頁）にまとめた。
