本年度は聞き取り調査を中心に行った。前回、全母子協に加入している母子を対象とした調査であったため、今回は全母子協に加入していない母子に調査を行う予定であった。しかし、個人情報保護の観点よりなかなか対象を探すことに困難があった。ひとつは京都府に協力依頼をし、京都府から京都府管轄の市町村に対し調査依頼を行った。その結果、3町が参加の意思を示してくださり3町の母子家庭へアンケート調査及び聞き取り調査を行った。もう一つは、京都市内の母子生活支援施設に依頼し、紹介していただき調査を行った。次に、「つながり」を形成するために必要な要素を抽出するために、前回調査を行った中でうまく繋がりができていた人を対象として再調査を行った。さらに、都市部から沖縄へ転出し、そこで繋がりを作りながら生活している人を事例対象とし、その人のつながり方を理解するために、関係者への聞き取り、その土地の「他者の受け入れ」を理解するために役所や社会福祉協議会、母子会等で聞き取り調査を行った。調査から、母子家庭が介護を行うとき、親族の繋がりの一部である「夫」の存在がない。親族が近くにいる場合には親族が介護を一緒に担ってもらえる環境であるが、親族が極端に少ない、もしくは遠方にいる、もしくは親族と不仲な環境では母子家庭の母親一人で子どものケアと両親の介護を行っている。親族と繋がりが薄い事例では、「友人」の助けがあり、友人も少ない場合には「行政」「施設」というフォーマルな支援がホローしているケースが多く存在した。来年度は、最終年度となるため、現在調査結果を論文執筆するとともに、報告書作成しているところである。
