①省察的実践とそのコミュニティの理論と長期事例研究アプローチの再検討：教師の実践的力量をめぐるもっとも重要な概念である省察的実践をめぐるD・A・ショーンの提起は、その著作において専門職の学習過程をめぐる克明な事例研究の積み重ねに基づいて展開されているが、従来のショーン研究、ショーンを踏まえた研究においてはそうした事例をめぐる分析が行われてこなかった。本研究においては省察的実践およびその力量形成をめぐって、ショーンの事例研究のアプローチそのものを検討し、そのアプローチを踏まえた専門職学習コミュニティの分析を進めていく。(Schon,1983,1987)②教師の力量形成とそのコミュニティの機能をめぐる長期事例研究：①と関り教師の力量形成とそれを支えるコミュニティの機能についても、コンセプトの提起やそれを踏まえた数量的な把握に止まり、実際の事例、長期にわたる力量形成プロセスとそれを支えるコミュニティの機能について実際の事例に基づいた研究は展開されてきていない。本研究においては、福井大学教職大学院が関わる学校における長期的な教師の学習過程とそれを支えるコミュニティの機能をめぐる長期事例研究と世界的な取組の報告と比較して研究を進めていく。③専門職学習コミュニティの形成過程の歴史的事例研究：専門職学習コミュニティの形成過程は、個々の教師の力量形成過程より長い、歴史的なプロセスを伴っている。本研究においては福井・富山・長野をはじめとする地域における学校の学習コミュニティ展開の歴史を跡づける。④教育改革を担う教師の力量形成のための組織化への展望：上記の三重の事例研究およびその比較研究を通して、教師の実践的な力量形成を支える専門職学習コミュニティの形成過程明らかにし、新たにそうしたコミュニティを実現し発展させていくためのアプローチを提起することを目的とする。
