日本国際教育学会第33回研究大会(2022年10月29日(土)の課題研究Ⅱ「教師教育における多様性の理念と実践―国際教育研究の視座から―」において、「アボリジナル主体のオーストラリアの教師教育―ポストコロニアルの視点から―」というテーマで報告を行った。具体的には「先住民族の権利宣言」をポストコロニアルの起点法的な枠組みとして、非アボリジナル社会に統合されているアボリジナルの児童・生徒に向き合うための教師教育の仕組みがどのように構築されているのか考察を行った。本科研との関連で述べれば、2022年9月12日～13日にかけて西オーストラリア州教育省主催でノーサム教育事務所において開催された「先住民族理解のための教員研修ワークショップ」に参加し、入手した資料および教員研修への参加教員に対して行った半構造化インタビューから得たデータ分析が中心である。具体的には、5年ごとに20時間義務づけられる州教育省が行う教員免許講習の一環として、「アボリジナルおよびトレス海峡諸島系民族の生徒の参加を公正で持続的に支援する教育プログラムを開発し、コミュニティの代表者や親/保護者との協働関係の構築に取り組む」ことを目的とする「指導者レベル」の教員研修に州教育省がどのようにコミットしているか、上記の州教育省が主催するTwo-Way Learningの教員研修ワークショップを通して検討を行った。また、学校において「オーストラリア教師の専門性基準」をふまえた教育実践がどのように展開されているか、西オーストラリア州のCoolbinia初等学校のTwo-Way Scienceの取り組みについても考察を行った。以上のように、各大学と学校、州の教育省は「オーストラリア教師の専門性基準」を枠組みに連携し、教師のキャリアステージをふまえてポストコロニアルな視点に基づく研修計画の策定・実施に取り組んでいるのである。
