本研究は、教員養成教育を行う大学教員の力量形成について、「セルフスタディ」という考え方に着目して、自分自身で授業を分析して力量形成につなげていくための手法を開発することを目的としている。2022年度は、2021年度に開発した「マトリクス」を用いた「課題の設定」の手法を用いて、学生の模擬授業の観察記録を分析し、分析結果を踏まえて大学教員自身の指導の実際について「省察」を行わせた。当初の計画では、これまでの経験等を活用した「省察」と開発した方法を使用した「省察」の結果をKJ法（川喜田、1967）を参考とした帰納的分類法を用いてカテゴリ化し、その効果について検討する予定であった。しかし、研究を進めた結果、大学教員の力量形成を意図するのであれば、それぞれの手法による「省察」の内容を比較してその効果を検討するよりも、開発した方法を用いて「省察」することにより、大学教員にとって自分自身の指導についての新たな発見や「省察」の深まりの実感を得られたかを調査するほうが有用であると考えられた。そのため、研究計画の一部を変更して実施した。研究の結果、「マトリクス」を用いた「課題の設定」の手法を用いることで、大学教員が作成した観察記録の内容を分類し、その内容の特徴を明らかにすることができていた。また、明らかになった特徴を踏まえて大学教員が「省察」を行うことにより、大学教員自身の指導内容の特徴について新たな発見があり、「省察」の深まりを実感することができていた。
