本研究は、師範学校の修身科教科書を収集・整理するとともに、それらの内容分析を通じて、戦前の教員養成課程における修身科教授理論の歴史的展開を究明することを目的としている。2年目にあたる本年度（2022年度）は、修身科の教育評価に着目し、その史的展開を整理することを主な研究課題内容とした。具体的には、国民学校令期における全国の師範学校附属小学校の国民科修身にていかなる成績考査が行われていたのかを、評価観点、評価手法、評価表示法の3つの枠組みから整理し、その特質や傾向を明らかにすることを試みた。戦前の修身科の教育評価については、先行研究もほとんど見当たらず、その実態は必ずしも十分に明らかにされているわけではない。とりわけ評価のあり方が全国的に統一されるとともに、評価に関する理論および実践研究が一段と押し進められた昭和10年代以降については未開拓である。そうした研究状況に対して、修身科のあり方が大きく変化した時期に当たる国民科修身の成績考査の諸相を検討した本年度の研究成果は、従来の修身科の研究に新たな知見を示し得た。また、戦後の道徳教育研究史における修身科に関する研究の動向と意義について整理し、この研究領域において今後取り組むべき研究課題を提示した。具体的には、①個別具体の研究における研究史の蓄積、②戦後道徳教育史研究の拡充、③近代道徳教育史研究の進展、の３点について言及したが、本研究に直接的に関わるものとしては③が該当する。そこでは、師範学校の修身科やそれに基づく指導法や評価法に関する研究の必要性と、それらの知見が今日の道徳教育・道徳科に大きな示唆を与え得るものであることを指摘した。

The purpose of this study is to collect, organize and analyze the contents of self-cultivation textbooks in normal schools, and to explore the development of self-cultivation theory in the course of teacher development. In 2022, the main research topic was organized in the context of the evaluation of self-cultivation education. The necessity of research on the basic guidance method and evaluation method of moral education in normal schools is criticized.
