项目摘要

本研究では、１）わが国の大学における留学相談業務の問題点を調査し、２）その結果を広く国内外に紹介しフィードバックを得る。併せて、３）いわゆるケースメソッドの手法で留学相談専門員の研修・訓練を行い、４）その効果を学術的に明示すると共に、５）その成果についても国内外で広く共有しフィードバックを得る。初年度（令和３年度）は上記１）に関して当初の予定通り学生500名を対象にした調査を行い、２）における調査結果のフィードバックのため学会発表等を通じて大学職員50名以上と意見交換を行い、様々な知見を得た。さらに、３）のケースメソッドによる研修・訓練についても、国内で２度計10名の留学相談員に対して先行実施することが出来た。二年度目にあたる令和４年度は、ケースメソッド教材を新たに２編執筆し、ビデオ教材として完成させた。加えて、３）の研修・訓練を大学院修士課程の正式な授業として行い、その際の教材として前記のビデオ教材を早速同授業内で用いた。また、この授業では研究代表者の指導のもと、受講生自らケースメソッド教材を１編執筆している。２）のフィードバックについては、初年度の学会発表をもとに執筆した査読付論文１編が採択されたほか、NACADA（米国学修支援者協会）を中心とした国際共同研究により国際用語集を１編発刊することが出来た。加えて、国内での学会発表を１度、海外においても初年度のNACADAに続きUKAT（英国学修支援者協会）での招待発表を行った。三年度目（令和５年度）には、前記の受講生によるケースメソッド教材をビデオ化し公開すること、さらに成果フィードバックの論文を広く英語で出版することを予定している。これ以降の大きな課題は、冒頭で示した５つのうち４）の研修成果測定と５）のフィードバックである。
