This project has been investigating the merits of making videos as an educational tool. As a result, it has produced over 40 publicly available educational/edutainment videos, with a total of 2000 views and nearly 180 hours of watch time.The channel has attracted nearly 700 subscribers from around the world from countries including America, the UK, India and the Philippines.The analytics are being compiled for publication, but so far, the project has found that students are typically more interested in detailed 'how to' videos, though edutainment content can attract subscribers.The next stage is to publish detailed courses on organic chemistry and thermodynamics with a view to establishing the demand for course-directed content versus quick show-and-tell type videos.We have also produced a new methodology for turning online crystallographic data into 3D animations via Blender 3D modelling software. We are currently modifying python scripts to better visualise atomic and molecular orbitals.
