本研究は、従来の研究で扱われることの多かった親密な対人関係だけでなく、「知り合い」といった関係性が強くはない他者の存在や見知らぬ他者との偶発的な相互作用を含む、個人を取り巻く包括的な対人関係が、個人の健康に及ぼす影響や、それらの対人関係の心理基盤を明らかにすることを目的としている。2022年度は、主に下記4点を進めた。第1に、関係性が弱い他者を含む対人関係と、精神的健康（主観的幸福感・孤独感）との関連について、クラウドソーシングサービスを利用し予備調査を実施した。データを分析した結果、対人関係そのものよりも、外向性といったパーソナリティ変数が精神的健康の指標と強く相関していたことが示された。分析結果は、2023年度に開催される東海心理学会年次大会（発表受理）および日本社会心理学会年次大会（発表申込予定）にて発表を行う予定である。第2に、関係性が弱い他者を含む対人関係の心理基盤に関する検討として、コミュニティ形成に関する論文を執筆し、Letters on Evolutionary Behavioral Science誌に掲載された。第3に、上記の論文において検討が不十分であった点を補うためのオンライン調査をクラウドソーシングサービス上で実施した。この調査で得られた一部のデータの分析結果については、2022年度に開催された日本心理学会年次大会にて発表された。また、2023年度に開催される日本心理学会年次大会にて発表を行う予定である。第4に、関係性が弱い他者を含むパーソナルネットワークの全体像およびその構造を測定するためのツールについては、調査対象者の変更に伴い実施方法にも変更を要することとなった。仕様の修正について引き続き検討を進めている。
