本研究は、社会基盤（インフラ）整備時のコミュニケーションの方法によって、住民のインフラに対する態度やインフラ整備がもつ住民の心理への影響に及ぼされる効果に着目し、より効果的なコミュニケーションの方法を検討するものである。多くのインフラ整備が地域の活力向上を目途として行われているものの、現状では居住者から地域の活力を向上すると認識されていないと懸念される。本研究では、整備時のコミュニケーションに用いる「フレーム」に着目して効果的なコミュニケーションの方法を理論的・実践的に検討し、インフラが「あって当たり前」でなく、「自らの地域のために活用していく資産」であるという態度形成を促すことを試みる。研究2ヵ年目である2022年度は、初年度に実施した【1. インフラ整備時のコミュニケーションに用いる フレーム の実態の把握】に引き続き、【2. インフラコミュニケーションに用いるフレームの理論的検討】に取り組んだ。初年度に行った文献調査等から、「インフラ整備への認識」について、「インフラの重要性認知」と「インフラに対する拡張自己」を抽出し、それらの項目と地域愛着・主観的地域活力との関係を把握するプレ調査を行った。その結果、インフラの重要性認知が高いほど地域意識が高い傾向が示された。インフラの重要性認知を高めるようなインフラコミュニケーションを行っていく必要があると考えられる。一方、拡張自己については、重要性認知が低い場合には地域愛着と負の相関が示される傾向が確認された。
