人々が地域に対し抱く「愛着」は,まちづくりや地域防災といった地域での活動を円滑に進める上で,またその地域のコミュニティ維持において,積極的な地域活動を促しうる重要な要素である.本研究では,地域愛着の規定因及びインパクトについての学術的検証,及び,人々の地域愛着を醸成し,社会に資する良好な地域を形成するためにはどのようにしたらいいのか,という"処方的"な実践を試みた.本年度は,本研究で提案しているようなコミュニケーションが施策として展開され,地域活性化についての充分な影響が及ぼされるために必要となると考えられる,長期的効果や効果的なコミュニケーションツールの開発など,学術的・実務的な各種の知見を蓄積することを目的とした.具体的には,以下のような研究を行った.[地域愛着醸成に寄与するコミュニケーション施策の長期効果の検証]前年度の研究成果から,消費行動がもたらす影響や身近な店舗について見直す機会を提供するコミュニケーションによって,各影響について認知や地域店舗の利用意図が向上し,実際に地域の店舗での消費行動が増加する結果が得られた.本年度は,事後調査としてインタビュー調査を実施し,コミュニケーション実験の長期的な効果を検証した.実験実施の約7ヶ月後に買い物客を対象に実施したインタビュー調査からは,回答者の6割以上がコミュニケーション実験を認知しており,その半数以上が実験によって地域での買い物機会が増加したと回答するなど,本研究で実施したコミュニケーション実験の効果が改めて確認された.さらに,コミュニケーション実験で得られたについて地域の店舗の店主などの関係者へのフィードバックを実施したところ,関係者内での買い物環境改善に対する機運の醸成が観察された.このような機運は,関係者の持続的・主体的な協力行動を促進するものであると考えられる.このように,地域との接触を促進するような行動を誘発するコミュニケーションにより,個人の行動の変化だけでなく,長期的には,地域組織の活力増進にも寄与する可能性を示した.
