病院の外来では、「日常事象」と「非常事象」での使用方法を考慮した伸縮性に対応できることが求められるが、「日常事象」の昼間に主眼を置き設計されているため、それ以外のフェーズに遭遇したときに医療活動を円滑に実施しにくい。本研究では施設設計の観点から、患者・医療者のニーズ、現状の施設への心的評価等から、その課題を明らかにし、得られた知見をもとに病院の外来空間の平面形において有効なスペースの伸縮手法の構築とその有効度を検証し、新たな設計指針を提案する。本年度は、昨年度実施した病院の外来での、日常時と非常時のどちらにとっても重要な役割を担う空間の一つである病院の庭園の設計時に配慮が必要な事項を明らかにする調査の結果、及び関連する内容での追加調査を実施、分析し、論文として投稿し採用された。具体的には、3種類の異なるデザインの病院の庭園の画像をみた前後のストレス値の測定、及びアンケートによる印象評価調査を実施し、結果の概要を分析した。一方で、日本の災害拠点病院の停電時の対応方法について調査した結果をとりまとめ、学会にて発表し意見交換を行い、今後の研究方針を検討する上での知見を得ることができた。
