子宮頚部腺癌のうち、ヒトパピローマウイルス(HPV)非依存性の腺癌では浸潤性が強く化学療法の効果が出にくい胃型腺癌が良く知られている。この胃型腺癌の多くは形態的に淡明な胞体を持つ円柱状細胞からなる典型像を含み診断は比較的容易であるものの、一方でその細胞像の特徴をほとんど有さないが浸潤性の強いHPV非依存性腺癌に遭遇することがある。本研究は、このような腺癌を集め、その形態的特徴や免疫組織学的特徴を整理し、遺伝子発現解析を行って浸潤性を特徴づける遺伝子発現の有無を検討すると同時に、これらの腺癌の遺伝子発現パターンからその組織分類について再考察することを目的としている。令和3,4年度ではこれらの症例抽出を行い、組織型検討、免疫染色を行い、形態的には粘液産生の程度に差があるものの、同じ群として扱うことが許容できると判断した。遺伝子発現についてNGSを用いて検索することを検討したが、腫瘍細胞含有量が低いことから実現に至らなかった。一方で、これらの腺癌の背景にLEGH（分葉状子宮頸管過形成）があることが多いことから、LEGHとこれら腺癌の関係性、および癌に特徴づけられる遺伝子変異を確認すべく数例で全エクソン解析を行い、現在データの解析中である。
