本研究の目的は，薬学生の将来選択に関わる現状と薬学生の地域志向性を高めるための教育の現状を明らかにすることである。2022年度は研究協力者と協議しながら，前年度に行ったインタビューデータの分析を行い，現在その途中である。分析視点は，①学生が薬学部を志望した理由，②入学時と比べて将来への希望が変化したきっかけとその内容，③将来働くときに大切にしたいこと，重視したいこと（本意ではない将来選択をする場合はその理由）で，薬学生の将来選択に関わる実態を明らかにする予定である。これらを踏まえ，当初は2022年度に全国の薬学生を対象とするアンケートの質問紙を作成する予定であったが，インタビューデータの分析が終了しなかったこと，同時期に薬学生の将来選択に関わる実態調査が複数に行われたことから，今後は他の先行研究の結果も踏まえながら質問紙を洗練化していく予定である。なお，新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響により県外への移動が制限され，または感染拡大防止の観点から，研究代表者が調査対象校を訪問して追加のインタビュー等を行うことはできなかった。
