Exercise, diet and brain training-based cocktail intervention for improving physical and cognitive functions in the elderly

We have completed data collection at baseline, and at 6th and 12th months of intervention in three groups of elderly (aged between 75 to 83 years) volunteers: 1) Exercise Intervention Group (40 people); 2) Yogurt Ingestion Group (20 people); and 3) Control Group (40 people). Also, we have completed the statistical analysis of relevant data on demographic and clinical variables collected at baseline and after 6th months of intervention.Now we are performing the analysis of the relevant data on cognitive function and balance tests. Furthermore, the quantitative measurements of plasma free amino acid concentrations (PFAA) in blood samples collected at baseline and after 6th month of intervention, and baseline gut microbiota have been completed.
