本研究の目的は、関節リウマチ患者の主観的症状（疼痛・倦怠感・朝のこわばり）を軽減させる心理・社会的支援プログラムを開発することである。本研究のプログラム開発過程は、（1）関節リウマチ患者の主観的症状に影響する心理・社会面の明確化、（2）主観的症状に影響する心理・社会面を支援するプログラムの作成、（3）プログラムの実施と評価、（4）評価に基づくプログラムの最適化である。当該年度では、プログラム開発過程（1）にあたる関節リウマチ患者の主観的症状に影響する心理・社会面の明確化について分析し、主観的QOL等の心理・社会面が主観的症状に影響することを確認した。この研究成果のうち倦怠感に関する部分をEAFONS（東アジア看護研究者フォーラム）で公表した。プログラム開発過程（2）における主観的症状に影響する心理・社会面を支援するプログラムの作成は、作成過程やプログラム内容を日本リウマチ看護学会において公表した。また、プログラム開発過程（3）プログラムの実施と評価では、関節リウマチ患者の主観的症状の程度が、心理・社会的支援プログラムの介入により、1か月後と3か月後で有意に変化したかについて解析および評価した。その結果、プログラム開始前と比較して、疼痛は1か月後に有意な改善を認めたが、3か月後の改善は認めなかった。倦怠感は1か月後に改善を認めなかったが、3か月後に有意な改善を認めた。朝のこわばりは1か月後と3か月後で有意な改善を認めなかった。この結果は日本看護科学学会で公表した。
